About the role
- Sr. Director leading Government Affairs strategy and stakeholder engagement for Medtronic's Diabetes division. Building relationships and advocating for patient access to diabetes technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing a coherent government affairs strategy, aligned with Medtronic Diabetes’ business objectives
- Manage and execute specific Government Affairs projects in collaboration with other functions (Health Plan Solutions, Medical Affairs, etc.) to ensure coordination and alignment
- Provide analysis and recommendations on government policies affecting Medtronic Diabetes’ operations
- Engage with key stakeholders to represent the company’s interests
- Develop and maintain a detailed map of key policy stakeholders, including government officials, industry influencers, and key opinion leaders
- Anticipate and identify potential policy or regulatory issues that could impact the business
- Educate and brief internal stakeholders on key government affairs issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in government affairs, public policy, or a related field
- 15 years of experience (or 13+ with an advanced degree) in government advocacy, public affairs, or lobbying, with a solid understanding of government policy, reimbursement, and regulatory processes in the US
- 10+ years of managerial experience
