About the role
- Represent TigerData at Bay Area and global events, meetups, hackathons, and conferences
- Build and share demos, tutorials, and code samples showcasing TigerData’s AI features (vector search, RAG, real-time analytics)
- Publish developer content — blogs, talks, videos, workshops — that inspire builders and grow adoption
- Partner with product and engineering to shape the developer experience for AI workloads
- Act as a bridge between the developer community and internal teams, surfacing insights and influencing roadmap
- Experiment with new ideas and formats to reach and excite developers — streams, hackathons, collaborations
- Report to the Head of Developer Advocacy & Docs and represent TigerData in the Bay Area community
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, or engineering roles with strong community exposure
- Experience building with AI/LLMs, RAG frameworks, vector databases, or AI-powered apps
- Comfortable coding and teaching in Python, Go, or JavaScript (and ideally SQL/Postgres)
- Thrive in community spaces: teaching, live coding, or helping at hackathons
- Self-starter who measures impact in developer adoption and engagement
- Started to build your own voice in the developer ecosystem (talks, blogs, OSS, or meetups)
- Must be able to attend local Bay Area events with occasional travel
- Location requirement: Bay Area residency (must represent TigerData locally)
