- Senior DevOps Engineer driving developer tools, CI/CD, and Generative AI to boost productivity at Matillion, the Data Productivity Cloud
Responsibilities
- Build and manage culture, tools and processes that empower developers to be more efficient
- Gather holistic feedback from developers and design solutions to improve their lived experience
- Drive the use of Generative AI for developer productivity and guide internal developer community on AI tools
- Governance and enforcement of policies and procedures around source control, changes and releases
- Design and implement development tools, IDEs, and infrastructure that drive high velocity in code development, testing and version control
- Streamline and automate development workflows; simplify and optimise processes
- Perform administration, troubleshooting and provide support to all engineers
- Enhance collaboration across Engineering teams and build central solutions to break down technical barriers
- Serve as subject matter expert in source control, build, branching, CI/CD and development best practices
- Use engineering metrics (e.g., DORA) to proactively drive efficiency
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with DevOps and/or SRE
- Experience with code signing and build management tools (Gradle, Maven, ant etc)
- Familiarity with software configuration management systems and source code version control systems (specifically, GitHub)
- Some experience with Developer Portals (specifically Backstage)
- Metrics driven: familiarity with Engineering metrics such as DORA
- Strong background in software engineering and release engineering
- Coding experience in one or more of: Java, JavaScript/Typescript, NodeJS, Python, Go
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Serverless, React, Terraform
- Inquisitiveness, autonomy, motivation, problem solving, integrity, detail focused, big-picture awareness
- Role based in Hyderabad, India
