About the role
- Senior Data Engineer with strong ETL and IDMC background to build Payment Hub and support applications at Sun Life. Collaborate with various teams to ensure high quality data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Interface with other engineers, vendors, infrastructure teams, business analysts, testing specialists, and business partners
- Design, develop, and implement IDMC Data Integrations
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize performance of IDMC processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure
- Identify and participate in improvement, system renewal, stability, upgrade, and disaster recovery projects
- Take complete ownership of work assignments
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive information technology experience
- 2+ years hands on experience with IDMC
- Experience with IDMC Advanced CDI or CDI-Elastic
- 3+ years hands on experience with AWS services
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science / engineering or equivalent
- Experience in (Autosys) scheduling
- Strong Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
- Strong understanding of Data Modeling and Data Warehousing concepts
- Experience working with complex technical environments
- Experience with BI Tools (Tableau)
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix scripting
- Experience with SFTP network protocols
- Experience with integrating vendor packages into an established production environment
- Knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices
- Experience with the DevOps tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, CDD, Ansible)
