About the role
- Lead AWS/Kubernetes infrastructure, GitOps, CI/CD and reliability for a Malta-based iGaming aggregator. Improve scalability, incident response, and developer workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes, Crossplane and ArgoCD
- Champion GitOps and Infrastructure as Code to promote secure and consistent environments
- Optimize systems for scalability, cost-efficiency, and operational reliability
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Alloy, etc.)
- Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis to improve system stability
- Build and refine CI/CD pipelines and support blue/green and canary deployment strategies
- Provide developer tooling and environments to improve developer experience
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to align infrastructure with product needs
- Take ownership of platform reliability, delivery tooling, documentation, automation, and processes
Requirements
- Relevant formal education in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles
- Hands-on experience with AWS
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (ideally Crossplane + ArgoCD)
- Strong background in infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform) and CI/CD systems
- Experience supporting production systems in performance-critical, 24/7 environments
- Proficient in Linux systems, networking, and cloud security best practices
- Skilled in scripting or programming (e.g. Python, Go, Bash)
- Familiarity with secrets management, policy enforcement, and service discovery
- Understanding of compliance and security practices
