About the role

• Senior Backend Engineer designing and building backend systems for crypto exchange and wallet services. Ensuring security, scalability, and reliability in collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for crypto trading, wallet, and payment systems.
• Build high-performance APIs for order matching, deposits/withdrawals, and real-time transaction processing.
• Implement secure integrations with blockchain networks, custodians, and payment gateways.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance for high-volume crypto transactions.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and security teams to deliver end-to-end crypto product features.
• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code following best engineering practices.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and improve backend infrastructure.
• Stay up to date with blockchain, crypto, and security best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience (preferably in fintech/crypto).
• Strong programming skills in **Go / Java / Phyton **(Stockbit’s core stack is Go preferred).
• Deep knowledge of **RESTful API / gRPC**, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Solid understanding of **concurrency, distributed systems, and high-performance backend design**.
• Experience with **RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL)** and **NoSQL (Redis, MongoDB, etc.)**.
• Experience with **message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)** for real-time transaction processing.
• Hands-on experience with **blockchain/crypto integration** (wallet services, Web3 APIs, smart contracts, exchange systems) is a big plus.
• Familiarity with **security best practices**: encryption, key management, KYC/AML compliance.
• Experience with **Docker/Kubernetes** and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience in a **crypto exchange, DeFi, or financial trading platform**.
• Knowledge of **matching engine design** for trading systems.
• Understanding of **regulatory and compliance frameworks** in crypto/fintech.
