About the role

• Senior Associate Lawyer focusing on venture capital, M&A, and corporate law for startups in Germany. Involves direct client interaction and contract negotiations across various stages of business cycles.

Responsibilities

• We support clients across the entire lifecycle of a company.
• Accordingly, from day one you will have direct client contact and gain first-hand experience of the different stages of a company’s development.
• This includes preparing, structuring, and negotiating company formations;
• Drafting and negotiating agreements for various financing rounds, either for startups or for venture capital investors;
• Preparing, structuring, and negotiating agreements for the sale of companies;
• You will directly influence startup culture by negotiating and designing employee equity participation programs.
• As the primary point of contact for founders and investors, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts and advising on complex decisions.

Requirements

• Second State Examination in Law (zweites juristisches Staatsexamen) or an equivalent qualification;
• Minimum of 4 years’ professional experience in M&A, corporate law, or venture capital/private equity;
• Strong subject-matter interest;
• High degree of independence and personal responsibility;
• Open-minded, strong communication skills, and diplomatic tact;
• Negotiation-level proficiency in German and English.
