About the role

• Senior Application Configuration Analyst optimizing SAP Plant Maintenance processes at Puget Sound Energy. Supporting initiatives including SAP-S4 implementation and asset management transformation.

Responsibilities

• support upcoming initiatives including SAP-S4 implementation, asset management transformation.
• responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing maintenance management processes using SAP modules functionalities.
• manage the complete maintenance lifecycle from planning and scheduling to execution and closure of maintenance activities.
• performs independent research within the business to resolve business issues and process improvements.
• performs functional analysis, requirements, definition, and application module configuration and testing.
• formulates and defines business scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business and industry requirements.
• develops or modifies complex business process.
• facilitates process to gather/establish business requirements.
• participates in hardware/software selection and vendor selection.
• participates in project initiation and defines high-level requirements.
• conducts prototypes, developing functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configuration tables and setting of transaction/control tables.
• identifies and resolves gaps in business processes.
• involved in security/authorization set-up, user documentation, data interface design, data migration, and reconciliation.
• ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years IT experience, including several years of systems development experience in the design and development of department-wide or enterprise-wide applications.
• 5+ years hands-on systems experience in one or more specialized technical requirements as shown in technical addendum modules appropriate for the job
• Possesses full technical knowledge of phases of software development life cycle.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of systems and/or business analysis design concepts.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the applied use of systems and process analysis tools.
• Full system life cycle experience, including development lifecycle methodologies.
• Ability to facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions.
• Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
• Excellent technical writing and system documentation skills
• Strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills for smaller projects.
• Must be a “team player” able to work with management in developing and implementing new processes and enabling systems.
• Able to work with end user groups to define application needs and identify feasible solutions.
• Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and a customer-focused service attitude.
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to meet objectives and effectively multi-task.
