Senior Application Administrator for Anti Financial Crime team. Responsible for operational quality and support of related applications in a hybrid setting.
Responsibilities
Ensure high availability and stability of key applications that support our business
Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLOs. Escalate to senior engineers or vendors when needed
Monitor application health, logs, and interfaces to proactively detect and prevent service disruptions
Perform configuration tasks, application deployments, and manage scheduled maintenance
Support post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and recovery procedures
Work closely with the service desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to deliver seamless support
Participate in testing and rollouts for patches, upgrades, and new features
Ensure adherence to compliance, data privacy, and security standards required in the banking sector
Participate in on-call rotations, including evenings and weekends
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
5+ years of experience in IT application support or software engineering, preferably within the financial services industry
Understanding of financial services architecture and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, message queues)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like NewRelic, Grafana or ELK
Working knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) would be considered an advantage
Experience with Java and Spring Boot, familiarity with Jenkins and Git is a plus
Bonus points for practical knowledge of AWS and cloud-based application management
Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management
Strong analytical skills, service orientation, and ability to work in high-pressure environments
Availability for on-call rotations and incident support outside business hours
Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level.
