About the role

  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports as well as track and report company KPIs in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Financial reports to include P&L, cash flow and balance sheet actual results on a monthly and YTD basis with variances to the company’s annual business plan / budget.
  • Update the company’s corporate and project valuation models with guidance from Senior Director, FP&A
  • Assist the Senior Director, FP&A, and CFO in the development of business plan/financial forecast (annual and long term)
  • Work with teams across the company to develop and provide business insights
  • Monitor and prepare periodic reporting of budgeted expenditures of each business unit with variance to plan and assist each business unit lead with forecasting annual spend
  • Identify opportunities to help streamline the operations and processes of the Corporate Finance team
  • Support the preparation of presentations for management, Board of Managers and parent companies
  • Monitor bank accounts for potential fraud
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, and/or consulting
  • Solid reporting and accounting experience in the renewable energy industry including tax equity structuring and knowledge of project finance is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Basic understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Highly proficient with MS Office suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (Sage Intacct)
  • Significant experience in preparation or administration of sophisticated Excel models
  • Experience with and general understanding of contracts/contract language
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong competencies in FP&A analysis, critical thinking, and desire to understand the big picture
  • Keen multi-tasking capabilities, flexibility, and organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to professionally handle highly confidential and sensitive information
