About the role
- Senior Accountant supporting the finance and accounting operations of a fintech company in Orlando, Florida. Managing financial reporting, compliance, and budget processes with a diverse team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts, budgets, and P&L models
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements, including tax filings
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including billing, collections, payroll, payroll taxes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Provide financial analysis to support pricing, contracts, and other operational decisions
- Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and risk exposure
- Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and other compliance-related projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or payments industry
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting, sales tax filing, and audit processes
