About the role
- Senior Accountant providing timely and accurate accounting services for Swiss Re Group's European, Asian, and American entities. Collaborating with finance teams for operational and closing activities while ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities
- provide timely and accurate non-technical accounting services according to internal guidelines, regulatory and Group requirements
- perform quarterly closing activities of defined entities and support financial controlling of selected entities
- provide accurate financial information to the management
- ensure accounting treatment for real estate entities
- ensure daily accounting treatment for fixed asset, leases, and subleases
- support audit activities and prepare requested information
- perform account reconciliation
- identify and evaluate process improvement possibilities
- participate and support Finance related projects
Requirements
- three to five years of work experience in accounting/financial reporting
- qualified in Accounting, Audit, Finance and/or university degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
- knowledge of accounting and regulatory frameworks
- understanding of financial risk and control processes
- experience in the use of standard bookkeeping software for financial accounting
- proven PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- fluent written and spoken English
