About the role

• Risk Manager designing and monitoring risk and control frameworks for Transaction Monitoring at Rabobank. Collaborating with the management team to enhance execution power in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Designing and monitoring the risk and control framework for Transaction Monitoring, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and operational excellence.
• Being sparring partner and partner in business of the management team in risk, such as finding & action management, policy implementations, risk identifications and supporting the Management Team in taking a risk-based approach to enhance execution power.
• Identifying risks and mitigating measures based on end-to-end processes, translating outcomes from audits, FLM, SLM, consultants, and industry leaders into actions for the Transaction Monitoring department.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to work at a senior level and communicate and report effectively to senior management.
• Strong subject matter expertise in Operational Risk Management, Compliance and/or AML/CTF.
• Ability to challenge control and process owners and build a network within the FEC/TM domain through natural impact, knowledge, and experience.
• Positive attitude and ability to involve and motivate stakeholders at every level in compliance risk management.
• Sufficient conceptual insight into the FEC/TM focus area and the associated risk policy, risk management methods, and techniques.
• Driven to keep knowledge up to date with new developments in the industry.
• Clearly demonstrates and takes ownership, flexibility, and ability to adapt and deliver in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Proactive, energetic, and takes initiative, with a preference for action over waiting for direction.
• Comfortable engaging with managers and teams, acting as a sparring partner and point of contact for a wide range of topics.
