About the role
- Requirements Engineer ensuring that Funkwerk's products meet safety and interoperability standards. Collaborating between development, product management, and homologation departments in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that products meet the highest standards, are safe, and interoperable
- Act as the central interface between the development department, product management, and the homologation department
- Identify and analyze functional and non-functional requirements
- Verify and validate requirements in coordination with stakeholders
- Structure, document, and maintain requirements
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and controlling baselines
- Evaluate QA feedback and document new requirements
- Ensure traceability and change tracking
- Coordinate with the system architect to ensure technical consistency
- Support the system engineer in clarifying requirements
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, computer science, technical documentation, or a related field
- Solid experience in requirements engineering, ideally within regulated industries
- Knowledge of requirements management methods and tools
- Certification such as IREB CPRE is a plus
- Understanding of technical and regulatory contexts
- Familiarity with relevant norms and standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, Automotive SPICE)
- Ability to document and analyze in a structured manner
