About the role

  • Oversee client renewals, renew existing licenses, and discover growth opportunities to minimize churn
  • Understand customer needs and build strong relationships with stakeholders and decision makers
  • Secure renewal contracts in advance of expiration to protect revenue
  • Engage decision makers to identify customer requirements, budget, key stakeholders, and approval processes
  • Maintain and report an accurate rolling 150-day forecast and analyze renewal data to identify trends
  • Manage the quote-to-close processes for renewals and create and negotiate strategic pricing and packaging proposals
  • Defend against competitive pressures and articulate Asana’s value
  • Identify risk early and partner with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Legal, Finance, Customer Success, and Sales Management to resolve complex requests
  • Contribute to designing and implementing efficient renewal processes and resolving inefficiencies

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience preferred in a renewal sales or related role (SaaS a plus)
  • Proven track record of success and quota achievement in renewal sales or related role
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced in contract negotiations, value selling, discovery, and closing
  • Strong presentation skills and executive presence
  • Analytical mindset; ability to maintain a forecast and analyze data to identify trends
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve renewal-related issues
  • Familiarity with work management and the Asana platform
  • Experience with quoting systems, contracting tools, and subscription management systems
  • Deep understanding of ARR and Renewals
  • Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies and willingness to learn and leverage them
