About the role

  • Quantitative Analyst at Clean Power Alliance responsible for financial risk modeling and analysis. Collaborating with internal teams to enhance the Energy Trading and Risk Management system.

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement financial risk models.
  • Expand scenario analysis and position modeling capabilities.
  • Support enhancements to Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system.
  • Develop, validate, enhance, and document quantitative risk models.
  • Perform strategic analysis to identify trends and anomalies impacting power markets, risk management, and operations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyze data.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to support metrics tracking.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years experience in energy or financial risk management, structuring, pricing, or trading/procurement.
  • Degree in finance, economics, computer science, or mathematics preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and programming skills in Python and/or SQL.
  • Experience with financial or energy risk modeling (VaR, stochastic simulations, etc.).
  • Experience with complex datasets and scenario analysis.
