About the role
- Plan, execute, and systematise testing across the credit origination platform
- Hands-on testing covering component, system, end-to-end, and UI flows
- Write clear and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Design, implement, and manage automated testing frameworks and processes
- Validate complex calculations and technical concepts through rigorous testing
- Ensure testing activities are well organised, tracked, and delivered on time
- Collaborate closely with engineers and the Credit team to identify and resolve issues early
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders
- Systematise testing processes into repeatable, efficient workflows
- Work with Athena team members to design and build the platform, contributing to product quality and culture
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience working as a QA Engineer in agile environments
- Deep financial services Credit/Underwriting Domain Expertise; detailed understanding of the credit origination process
- Strong knowledge of modern test automation tools and frameworks
- Excellent communication skills – able to explain issues clearly to both business and technical stakeholders
- Comfortable testing both back-end logic/calculations and front-end UI experiences
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a track record of ensuring testing cycles run on time and follow a test plan
- Experience performing in fast-paced agile roles in a dynamic customer-first environment
- Full working rights in Australia and live in Sydney (as asked in application form)
