About the role

  • Quality Assurance Engineer at Ovoko ensuring high testing standards for web applications. Collaborate in product innovation and user feedback analysis to improve quality.

Responsibilities

  • Own system quality within your team and ensure high standards across all deliverables
  • Align and drive quality expectations within your team and in collaboration with the broader organization
  • Contribute to product innovation by suggesting new features or proposing meaningful changes to existing ones
  • Analyze and participate in product requirement discussions to identify potential quality risks early
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business domain and customer workflows to ensure testing reflects real-world usage, always prioritizing the end-user experience.
  • Design and execute tests and report issues with clear, actionable reproduction steps
  • Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright for critical user flows
  • Perform tool research and evaluate new solutions that can improve the QA process
  • Define, implement, and analyze quality metrics to guide testing efforts and support continuous improvement
  • Help collect and analyze user feedback to better understand product quality and user needs
  • Proactively suggest improvements to development processes and team workflows
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and participate in task refinements, retrospectives, and daily standups
  • Share knowledge and mentor other QA members.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on web applications
  • Strong manual testing background with expertise in web and backend testing
  • API testing proficiency including REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and integration testing
  • Database knowledge with experience in SQL and relational databases
  • Test case design expertise with a systematic approach to test planning
  • Exploratory testing skills with a keen eye for edge cases and user experience issues
  • Project management tools experience (Jira, Confluence, or similar)
  • Test automation experience in UI and API testing with modern frameworks
  • Agile methodology experience (Scrum, Kanban, or similar) with understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
