About the role

  • Design and develop tests across the test pyramid for Airline API integrations
  • Prepare comprehensive test plans and enhance existing automation frameworks with new test cases
  • Set up automated test execution pipelines to enable rapid and continuous feedback
  • Conduct QA tests (functional, regression, integration, performance) and verify outcomes within timelines
  • Maintain and continuously improve the existing test automation suite
  • Own tasks end-to-end: plan, develop, and maintain test automation solutions for Airline API Integration
  • Drive testing quality standards and best practices across the team and organization
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, product managers, product analysts, and QA peers to identify and resolve issues
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and contribute to test strategy discussions
  • Contribute to analysis and design of functional and non-functional requirements and technical plans
  • Actively participate in scrum ceremonies (grooming, planning, retrospectives, stand-ups)
  • Develop end-to-end understanding of features supported by Tripstack's client facing API
  • Collaborate with developers, POs, and PMs to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Communicate and address scope changes that may impact testing

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in QA
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Design, develop, and execute automated API test cases using tools such as ReadyAPI and JMeter
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing for REST and SOAP APIs
  • Experience with Docker containers, Wiremock, Allure, Refit
  • Hands-on experience with any one API testing tool (e.g., ReadyAPI, SOAP UI)
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming language (C# or Java)
  • Knowledge of creating performance test cases in tools such as JMeter
  • Ability to understand business logic of APIs and locate real user scenarios
  • Ability to design relevant API tests
  • Strong fundamentals in Algorithms, OOPs, and Data Structures
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Log, track, and manage bugs using Jira, and document QA processes in Confluence
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Git source control tools (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab)
  • Experience with Agile development (good to have)
  • Experience in cloud environments (GCP, AWS) (good to have)
  • Familiarity with Postman, Fiddler, or Swagger (good to have)
  • Understanding of Elastic tools like Kibana or Grafana (good to have)
  • Experience with SonarQube, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes (good to have)
  • Prior experience in the travel industry (OTA, airline systems) (good to have)
