About the role

  • Project Manager in Transformation Team driving finance business process improvements at DFDS. Managing strategic initiatives across DFDS Business Services with a focus on project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and deliver transformation projects that align with company objectives and operational needs
  • Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and communications
  • Coordinate and guide project teams throughout all phases, ensuring collaboration across functions and regions
  • Define clear KPIs and success metrics to track project progress and outcomes
  • Monitor performance and milestones, reporting progress to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks early
  • Build and maintain stakeholder engagement, creating and managing a RACI matrix to clarify roles, responsibilities, and communication flows
  • Ensure alignment and prioritization of deliverables with the Finance Group PMO and other transformation partners where relevant
  • Manage budgets and resources, ensuring projects are delivered within time, scope, and financial targets
  • Conduct post-project evaluations, capturing lessons learned and ensuring smooth handover to operations with agreed KPIs and ownership
  • Promote collaboration and innovation, fostering an environment that encourages continuous improvement and sustainable change
  • Act as a change ambassador, ensuring project outcomes are embedded and adopted across the organization

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience
  • Proven track record in finance (OtC/PTP/ RTR) transformational projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Project Management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of accounting, finance or financial audit experience in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial processes
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification (preferred)
  • Proven ability to work and manage multicultural teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
  • Fluency in English (knowledge of a second European language is an asset)
  • Knowledge and experience in D365 (finance module) would be a strong asset
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and other commonly used project management tools
