About the role

  • Leverage best practices for project management and risk management to deliver project objectives
  • Develops and maintains visibility to known project work leveraging documented tools, processes and procedures in appropriate Standard Operating Procedures, Playbooks and Runbooks
  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships with business leaders, project sponsors, business analysts, solution architects, vendors, and key clients
  • Manages the relationship with the customer, acting as the primary face of the project throughout the lifecycle
  • Provides work direction and leadership to assigned projects, including scheduling, assignment of work, and review of project efforts
  • Ensures successful go-live on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction
  • Maintains consistent communication with the project team to ensure the scope of work is clear and that standard operating procedures are adhered to and auditable
  • Ensures compliance with all accounting, human resources, training, and safety goals, as outlined by the Statement of Work and other C5MI policies
  • Provides customer guidance and support on Communications, Change Management, Training Strategy, and Testing Strategy
  • Facilitates the gathering of information required to estimate project cost, resources, time, and deliverables
  • Leverages financial acumen to estimate costs associated with the project, including physical, financial, and human capital costs
  • Creates and manages capital appropriate requests and revisions and develops a detailed cost baseline from cost estimations
  • Negotiates conflicts and resolves issues that arise on the project, acting as a mediator between stakeholders and team members throughout the project lifecycle
  • Acts as a trusted advisor for the client
  • Keeps senior leaders and stakeholders informed on the progress of the project, as well as any risks or deviations from the plan

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
  • PMP Certification
  • 5+ years SAP Technology implementation and/or operation experience
  • 5+ years SAP consultant or development experience (SAP Project Manager or Operation Manager experience preferred)
  • Experience with at least one full cycle implementation
  • Understanding of SAP Activate methodology is a plus
  • A project management certification is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Project or other project management tools
  • Must be a self-starter and problem solver
  • Must be able to lead large cross functional teams and understand how to lead within a matrixed organization
  • Excellent customer/escalation management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to connect and work with employees at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a security clearance.
