About the role

  • Project Manager coordinating construction projects with the Division Manager and Superintendents at Nor-Cal Pipeline Services. Focused on project planning, execution, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • The Project Manager will work with the Division Manager and Superintendent’s to plan, direct, and coordinate activities associated with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Assist in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
  • Plan, monitor, and track the production of required deliverables for projects.
  • Prepare and track project submittals.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Work with the Estimator and Superintendent to develop a detailed project plan and track progress.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, project owners, and prime contractors to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and stakeholders.
  • Work with the Field Superintendent to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Ensure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Prepare and submit project invoices.
  • Log and update change orders and prepare permit applications.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–2 years of experience in construction, utilities, or engineering support roles preferred.
  • Must have a robust knowledge of all steps in the construction process, including pre-construction, procurement, performing services, and project closeout.
  • Experience with profit and loss management.
  • Must have a strong understanding of asset utilization to achieve profitability.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulations and other documents.
  • Experience with employee relations, customer service, leadership, mentoring, and training.
  • Must be ambitious, entrepreneurial, creative, dedicated, and self-directed.
  • Hands-on field experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
