About the role
- Project manager overseeing the modernization of street lighting systems. Leading project teams and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders for successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for planning, controlling and implementing projects for the renewal, new construction and modernization of street lighting installations
- Leading the project team; controlling costs, schedules and quality; coordinating internal departments and external service providers
- Comprehensive asset management, including the development of investment and maintenance strategies across the entire lifecycle of the assets
- Integration of innovative technologies (e.g., LED, IoT, smart city applications) and active participation in digitization projects
- Cross-functional collaboration with operations, procurement, IT, security and regulatory departments, and documentation in relevant systems (e.g., GIS, SAP PM)
- Preparation of economic analyses and support for investment and budget planning, taking legal and technical requirements into account.
Requirements
- Completed degree (Master/Diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering or a comparable technical field
- Several years of professional experience in the planning, construction and operation of street and outdoor lighting installations, ideally with a network operator or utility
- Solid knowledge of project and asset management, as well as economic evaluation and strategic investment planning
- Confident handling of applicable standards, regulations and systems (e.g., EnWG (German Energy Industry Act), DIN/VDE, TAB, GIS, SAP PM)
- Proven experience in technical projects with responsibility for interfaces and demonstrated ability to lead project teams
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, sense of responsibility, and excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
