About the role

  • Product Manager driving product strategy for an award-winning investment platform. Collaborating with senior stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and enhance customer-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

  • As a Product Manager in our Product Team, you will work closely with Senior Product Managers, the Heads of Digital Product, and other stakeholders within the business, to ensure strategic alignment to ii’s objectives.
  • You will contribute towards the product strategy, and will be customer obsessed, using data to lead and inform you on the direction that you take.
  • As a manager within the product team, you will lead and mentor colleagues and use your skills and capabilities to deliver change – delivering the results needed both for the business and our customers.
  • You and your team will be championing and owning outcomes, prioritising discovery, and challenging whether we are building, and have built the right thing.
  • You’ll be responsible for creating and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), to spot trends, potential problems, and opportunities.
  • Day to day, you will be working with your team and squad(s) to ensure they are supported and know the strategic direction which they should be aiming for.
  • You’ll be spending time with subject matter experts across the business, along with senior stakeholders and exec sponsors, to understand where the opportunities lie and assist with prioritising which problems we tackle first.
  • Working in discovery, you will be validating what we should be doing next, along with creating learnings on what we’ve delivered.
  • You will utilise both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • When needed, you’ll have the opportunity to act in other roles and support teams in other ways, taking on some light project management and at times may need to act as the Product Owner within delivery squads, owning and managing product backlogs.
  • You will be managing Product Analysts/Owners within the team, and will work closely with the Senior Product Managers, ensuring the team have the right mentoring, support and guidance needed to succeed in their role, whilst developing their career path with interactive investor.

Requirements

  • Product Management – Demonstrable digital product skillset with experience in driving business and customer outcomes using build, test, learn loops, innovation and data led prioritisation. Experience working in both Offline and Online customer journeys.
  • Customer and data led – you know how to identify a need from a want and how to evidence it through qual or quant data.
  • Positive Leadership – Can demonstrate leadership capability, particularly in cross-functional and matrix activities with a supportive style, using thought leadership with your team.
  • Excellent communication and rapport building skills to engage and motivate colleagues across the business, internally and externally.
  • Has a bias to action – does not hide behind their desk and gets out and about across the business. You take it on yourself to ensure that the right things get done.
  • Pro-active, personable, and social – can forge relationships with colleagues both within the office and those across other offices.
  • Good stakeholder management skills and applicable experience.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies, frameworks, as well as Waterfall, able to take the place of a Product Owner when needed.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively and delegate to team.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly organised with a great attention to detail.
  • Ability to discuss and explain complex issues to all levels.
  • A knowledge of how to recruit, set up and perform user research and comfortable talking to customers to perform this.
  • Able to perform their own independent quantitative research using tools such as SQL, Google Analytics and Power BI.
