About the role
- Drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Declarative Infrastructure at Spotify
- Own product strategy for the platform that automates provisioning and management of cloud resources
- Deeply understand developer experience and translate engineer challenges into product improvements
- Define and analyze metrics to measure success and adoption of the platform; use data to inform decisions and priorities
- Collaborate closely with engineering manager, engineers on the squad, and key stakeholders
- Serve as a developer evangelist for Declarative Infrastructure, championing benefits and best practices for infrastructure as code
- Stay current with cloud-native industry trends (Kubernetes, CNCF, IaC) to evolve the platform
- Empower hundreds of engineering teams to build, innovate, and scale services with infrastructure-as-code best practices
Requirements
- Strong technical background; comfortable engaging in in-depth discussions about complex systems
- Experience as a software engineer (infrastructure or platform space) is a major plus
- Passion for building outstanding developer experiences and internal platforms
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, and/or Kubernetes
- Excellent communicator able to articulate vision to engineers and senior leadership
- Curious, adaptive, self-driven; ability to inspire change in a dynamic technical environment
