About the role
- Principal Project Manager at SimCorp overseeing complex client projects in financial technology. Responsible for project execution, risk management, and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of SimCorp Dimension implementation projects with primary focus on high complexity projects/programs and clients
- Leading project execution with a focus on providing greater customer value and outcomes while better measuring and reducing risk
- Overseeing and driving requirements and configuration build in a project
- Managing implementation-related workstreams in the project
- Collaborating with implementation teams and individual contributors
- Meeting milestones for delivery and managing risks
- Managing stakeholder complexity internally
- Contributing to improvement and documentation of best practices for implementation projects globally
- Creating and maintaining required project artifacts such as project plan, reports and RAID change requests
- Establishing and managing transparent project governance structure and adheres to standard project management processes and procedures
- Clearly communicates business challenges, including risks and issues, to customers
- Actively manages project financials and client expectations
- Acts as a mentor and coach to less experienced colleagues
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of clients’ business processes across asset managers, fund managers, banks, insurance companies and pension plans
- Skills to navigate and deliver multi-stream projects in complex business environments
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multi-stream projects in complex business environments
- SimCorp Dimension implementation experience is beneficial
- Preferred to lead projects on the West Coast
- PMI/PMP/Prince 2 or equivalent certification
- Knowledge and experience with SimCorp Dimension and/or implementation of SimCorp Dimension or similar solutions
- Solid understanding of investment operations
- Familiarity with implementation focused projects in the Financial Technology sector
- Proficient leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficient negotiation, persuasion and conflict management skills
- Ability to work on projects in different Time Zones
- Fluency in English
- Readiness to travel to customer sites with flexibility to work from home or remote from our offices
