About the role

  • Design and manage security solutions, including firewall, and network intrusion detection systems
  • Ensure network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs
  • Analyze and resolve communication problems between the MCM data centers and offices in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Manage network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls and Load Balancers
  • Design and implement all equipment, hardware and software upgrades
  • Recommend and manage network monitoring tools
  • Design and maintain network access permissions, and access rights
  • Participate in the planning and execution of security audits
  • Develop and implement applications and tools to improve the operational efficiency of the company
  • Developing metrics and reports for managing network connectivity
  • Collect and analyze data that is necessary for stability and improved performance
  • Prepare and maintain system level documentation and training material where appropriate
  • Ensure that the appropriate monitoring and management tools are in place, including procurement and in house development of specialized tools as necessary

Requirements

  • Palo Alto firewalls is required
  • Experience with ISE
  • Experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco switches, Cisco routers
  • 7+ years experience in a similar role
  • Ability to operate on a follow-the-sun model on a shift basis as required, on call and late/weekend work expected
  • Experience with ServiceNow and SolarWinds is required
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Preferred SDWAN experience is highly desired
  • Cisco CCIE or CCNP certification
  • Meraki experience preferred
  • Master's or advanced degree in relevant field
