Senior Network Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining network infrastructure for Ingersoll Rand. Collaborating globally to ensure high availability and security in network operations.
Responsibilities
Manage and troubleshoot complex network issues across data centers, cloud environments (AWS, Azure), and remote sites.
Monitor network performance, analyze trends, and implement proactive measures to maintain uptime and reliability.
Develop and implement scalable network architectures, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless solutions.
Configure and maintain firewalls and VPN solutions.
Support M&A integrations by assessing and deploying network solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness for all network services.
Lead network refresh initiatives, including hardware upgrades and SD-WAN migrations.
Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in networking, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
Deep expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and network security protocols.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
