About the role

  • Lead and take ownership of international consulting projects: planning, managing, and delivering
  • Harness and develop QS insights assets for thought leadership and external profile
  • Enhance customer experience and convert customers to long-term partners
  • Act as a credible and inspiring ambassador for the practice
  • Channel insights into evidence-based feature recommendations for QS products and services
  • Lead execution of complex consulting projects and deliver actionable strategic recommendations
  • Serve as trusted advisor and key point of contact for clients, fostering long-term partnerships
  • Contribute to development and expansion of QS consulting services
  • Support business development: identify opportunities, craft proposals, contribute to pitches
  • Ensure project timelines, resources, and budgets meet revenue and margin targets
  • Leverage data-driven insights to shape client strategies and provide thought leadership
  • Manage and mentor a team of consultants; support professional development of junior consultants
  • Develop in-depth expertise in specific higher education sectors or thematic areas
  • Any other duties within scope and purpose of the role

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex, high-value consulting projects within the higher education sector
  • Deep and broad expertise in higher education in the UK and Mainland Europe
  • Expertise in institutional performance evaluation and strategy
  • Strong ability to build deep sectoral expertise in specific areas of higher education
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure
  • Proficiency in data-driven analysis, interpretation and visualisation; experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, or R beneficial
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages (Arabic, Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, or French) is an asset
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
