Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence
Drive media relations including creating and leading outreach plans, message development, management of events and coordination of media familiarisation trips
Execute effective pitching and training of spokespersons and grow media contact network
Serve as daily client contact addressing client issues thoughtfully and effectively
Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both earned and social media outreach plans
Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs
Work closely with Account Managers to oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence
Assist junior staff by motivating, coaching and consistently providing feedback
Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content.
Requirements
A minimum of two years of relevant experience in consumer and/or consumer health, communications, marketing or digital roles.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
Be a media relations expert or be keen to develop these skills, building considered media relations plans, drafting messaging and pitch angles and selling to media
Passion for storytelling and proficiency in building campaigns that employ creative tactics, traditional media and digital/social media strategies
Strong writing capabilities and creative thinking
Basic proficiency with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) and curiosity about how AI can support communications
Tactical proficiency in media relations, earned and social outreach, pitching, events and spokesperson training
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work closely with account teams
