About the role

  • Lead projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring success across scope, schedule, cost, and risk management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Oversee work assignments, schedules, budgets, and team performance throughout the project, ensuring the quality of services delivered.
  • Ensure the quality and acceptance of all project deliverables by the DOE Project Manager.
  • Report all significant project developments with the reporting format and distribution methods agreed upon at the project’s outset.
  • Create work plans that outline tasks, responsibilities, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain staff continuity throughout the project; any replacements require DOE Project Manager approval.
  • Oversee knowledge transfer activities to ensure DOE’s comprehensive understanding of all project aspects.
  • Handle administrative support independently, as DOE will not provide these services or materials.
  • Supply necessary tools or equipment for vendor staff and store all project-related documentation in the DOE-designated repository.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of project management and business analysis experience.
  • PMP Certification is required.
  • Proficiency with MS Visio, MS Project, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong client-facing communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver results in dynamic environments.
  • Candidates must live close enough to attend onsite meetings in New York City a few times each month.
