About the role

  • Pre-qualify and analyze prospects coverage needs, recommending appropriate coverages and preparing rating quotes for producers to present to clients.
  • Recommend excess and surplus lines coverages as needed and educate clients on coverage limitations, ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained.
  • Complete insurance applications, obtain client signatures, submit to eligible carriers, and follow up to ensure timely and accurate policy issuance.
  • Process policy renewals and conduct remarketing as necessary to ensure optimal coverage and pricing.
  • Assist clients with coverage changes and service requests, providing clear communication and prompt follow-up.
  • Inform clients of policy changes, exclusions, and coverage needs, explaining terms and limitations in a clear, professional manner.
  • Generate correspondence, certificates, and other documentation to meet client service and proof-of-insurance needs.
  • Maintain organized and accurate electronic files in accordance with agency standards.
  • Manage incoming mail and respond promptly and appropriately to client and carrier requests.
  • Monitor direct-bill cancellation notices and follow up with clients to help them avoid policy lapses.
  • Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely completion of all tasks.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new products, coverages, and technology to continuously improve performance and client service.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance products, coverages, and agency processes.
  • Participate in continuing education courses to meet licensing and ethics requirements.
  • Effectively utilize agency management systems and computer programs to support daily operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (Preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Active AR Property & Casualty insurance license (Required)
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite and products
  • A passion for being part of a team that drives our company to industry leadership
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and clients
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
