Pre-qualify and analyze prospects coverage needs, recommending appropriate coverages and preparing rating quotes for producers to present to clients.
Recommend excess and surplus lines coverages as needed and educate clients on coverage limitations, ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained.
Complete insurance applications, obtain client signatures, submit to eligible carriers, and follow up to ensure timely and accurate policy issuance.
Process policy renewals and conduct remarketing as necessary to ensure optimal coverage and pricing.
Assist clients with coverage changes and service requests, providing clear communication and prompt follow-up.
Inform clients of policy changes, exclusions, and coverage needs, explaining terms and limitations in a clear, professional manner.
Generate correspondence, certificates, and other documentation to meet client service and proof-of-insurance needs.
Maintain organized and accurate electronic files in accordance with agency standards.
Manage incoming mail and respond promptly and appropriately to client and carrier requests.
Monitor direct-bill cancellation notices and follow up with clients to help them avoid policy lapses.
Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely completion of all tasks.
Stay current with industry trends, new products, coverages, and technology to continuously improve performance and client service.
Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance products, coverages, and agency processes.
Participate in continuing education courses to meet licensing and ethics requirements.
Effectively utilize agency management systems and computer programs to support daily operations.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED (Required)
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (Preferred)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
Active AR Property & Casualty insurance license (Required)
Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite and products
