About the role

  • Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees in Spain and Italy
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Maintain and update payroll records and employee data (e.g., salaries, bonuses, deductions)
  • Collaborate with new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies or errors
  • Coordinate with Finance for payroll-related journal entries and reporting
  • Manage relationships with external payroll vendors or platforms
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and payslips
  • Support audits and reporting requirements as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or similar role in Spain (+2 or 3 years experience)
  • Solid understanding of payroll principles, labor legislation, and tax regulations
  • Experience working with payroll software (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday, Deel, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of confidentiality
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and payroll reports
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
