About the role

  • Operations Manager coordinating client deliverables and collaborating with internal teams for private equity clients. Managing client relationships and ensuring operational excellence within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary project manager for all client deliverables, including capital calls, distributions, investor communications, and financial reporting cycles
  • Create and manage timelines, track progress, and ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Oversee and manage the client's dedicated communication channels, including inboxes and regular status calls with recap emails
  • Triage incoming requests, delegate tasks to the appropriate internal specialists, and ensure all inquiries are resolved promptly and effectively
  • Proactively analyze client-specific workflows to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve the overall service delivery
  • Act as the primary internal point of contact for the client's operational team
  • Build and maintain a strong, trust-based partnership with the client by understanding their needs, managing expectations, and communicating transparently
  • Liaise between the client and Juniper Square's internal teams (Fund Accounting, Investor Relations, Product, Engineering) to ensure alignment and the smooth execution of all requests and projects
  • Develop and maintain client-specific operational playbooks, procedures, and status trackers to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to best practices

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 4-7+ years of experience in private equity, venture capital, or real estate fund administration, fund accounting, or a related client-facing operations role.
  • Proven experience in project management with an exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client service orientation with outstanding written and verbal communication skills; you are comfortable interfacing with senior client stakeholders.
  • A genuine passion for operational excellence, process improvement, and organization. You enjoy bringing order to chaos and prefer managing processes over performing traditional accounting tasks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Suite required.
  • Familiarity with investment management software. Direct experience with the Juniper Square platform is a significant plus.
