About the role

  • Product Manager owning the Accounting & Finance Automation pillar at Jeeves. Transforming finance workflows for global businesses using cutting-edge AI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the accounting user experience end-to-end: Design products that accountants, controllers, and finance teams use daily to manage spend data, maintain financial accuracy, and ensure compliance.
  • Deeply understand accounting workflows: How finance teams process transactions, manage data flows, ensure accuracy, and meet regulatory requirements. Understand what "correct" means in an accounting context and why precision matters.
  • Navigate multi-jurisdiction complexity: Design for customers operating across different countries, each with unique regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and business practices. Understand how accounting needs vary across LatAm, US, and Europe.
  • Champion data accuracy and audit-ability: Every feature you build must maintain proper audit trails, ensure data integrity, and support compliance requirements. Understand the downstream consequences of errors in financial data.
  • Identify high-impact automation opportunities: Find where finance teams lose hours to repetitive, manual work, and determine where AI can transform workflows. Start from the user's pain, not from the technology.
  • Balance AI capabilities with accounting precision: Understand when AI-powered automation is appropriate vs. when deterministic rules are required. Know that errors in financial data have real consequences for reporting, audits, and compliance.
  • Prototype and validate AI solutions: Personally test AI-powered approaches to validate whether they actually work before committing engineering resources. Build quick proof-of-concepts to assess feasibility.
  • Ship AI features that accountants trust: Build transparency into AI decisions, enable easy overrides, and maintain human-in-the-loop workflows where precision matters. Understand that trust is earned through accuracy and reliability.
  • Own the integration strategy: Define how Jeeves connects with ERP systems, accounting software, and other platforms that finance teams rely on. Ensure data flows seamlessly across systems.
  • Design for flexibility and configuration: Build systems that adapt to different customer setups, organizational structures, and business requirements. Understand that no two finance teams operate exactly the same way.
  • Ensure data integrity end-to-end: Every transaction must reconcile. Design features that prevent errors, handle edge cases gracefully, and provide clear visibility when issues arise.
  • Be the expert on customer needs: Conduct regular interviews with controllers, accountants, finance managers, and CFOs to understand pain points in their current workflows.
  • Partner with customer finance teams: Shadow their processes, understand their requirements, and learn the nuances of how they work. Translate what you observe into actionable insights.
  • Convert pain into product vision: Transform qualitative feedback and workflow observations into clear product opportunities. Understand not just what customers say they need, but what they actually need.
  • Track adoption and impact metrics: Measure how customers use the product, where they struggle, and what drives value. Build dashboards that diagnose problems and surface opportunities.
  • Analyze workflow data: Identify patterns in customer behavior, common pain points, and opportunities for improvement. Use data to validate hypotheses before committing resources.
  • Build business cases: Quantify the ROI of product investments—hours saved for customers, error reduction, improved workflows, and business impact.
  • Define the product roadmap: Build a clear point of view on where the market is heading, how customer needs are evolving, and how Jeeves should win in accounting automation.
  • Understand the competitive landscape: Track how competitors are solving accounting and finance workflows; identify gaps, differentiation opportunities, and emerging trends.
  • Stay current on the domain: Understand how changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, technology platforms, and customer expectations impact product requirements.
  • Speak multiple languages: Translate between accounting domain expertise and technical implementation. Bridge the gap between what finance teams need and what engineering teams build.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Design, and leadership. Enable teams across the organization to understand the value you're building and why it matters.
  • Create high-quality written artifacts: Write strategy memos, product specs, business cases, and post-mortems that drive alignment and enable faster decision-making.
  • Based in Latin America, preferably Mexico, Colombia, or Brazil.
  • Deep understanding of LatAm accounting practices, regulatory requirements, and business operations.
  • Willingness to work across global time zones, including up to 10% travel.

Requirements

  • Profile 1: Accountant/Controller with Product Experience
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent accounting certification, OR accounting degree + 2+ years in accounting/controller/finance operations roles
  • Deep understanding of how finance teams operate, process data, and ensure compliance
  • 2+ years in product management, product operations, or technical roles working on financial software
  • Proven ability to translate accounting requirements into product solutions
  • Profile 2: Product Manager with Integration/Financial Systems Experience
  • 3+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or platforms with complex integrations
  • Proven track record building products that integrate with ERP systems, accounting software, or financial platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
  • Strong understanding of how data flows between systems, data mapping, and system architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to learn domain expertise quickly and become the expert on customer workflows
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable with SQL, data analysis, building models, and translating data into product decisions
  • Understanding of how systems integrate and data flows between platforms (you don't need to code, but you need to understand architecture)
  • Hands-on comfort with AI tooling: ability to test AI-powered features, evaluate model outputs, and prototype solutions
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP and/or IFRS) and how finance organizations operate (either from direct experience OR from building products for finance teams).
