About the role
- Support integration and maintenance of public-facing content for the NASA Science Mission Directorate under the eMITS contract
- Use WordPress CMS to create, edit, and maintain digital content promoting public awareness of Science missions
- Communicate and assist stakeholders across different Science Divisions
- Prepare imagery, documents, and video content for public dissemination using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office products
- Review and edit metadata, captions, and alternative text where applicable
- Use Google web analytics to track trends and report on interaction rates of features and campaigns
- Advise stakeholders on what worked and recommendations for future campaigns
- Keep content organized for tracking and ease of discovery
- Work mostly remotely with a local presence for rare in-person stakeholder meetings at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC
Requirements
- 4-year degree (BA or BS in graphic design, marketing, communication or relevant field) with 4 years or more of work experience
- Proficiency in WordPress Content Management System or similar applications
- Proficiency in Web and Accessibility Standards
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive), SharePoint, and Box
- Familiar with Search Engine Optimization, Web Analytics and Metrics (Google web analytics)
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, and serve as a team player
- Attention to details, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred: Previous NASA or Federal Government experience
- Preferred: Project Management or Agile Certification(s)
- Preferred: Previous experience in Organizational Change Management
- Preferred: Creative problem-solving abilities
