About the role
- Plan, coordinate, and execute grassroots marketing campaigns to promote the school and drive student leads.
- Develop and distribute marketing collateral (flyers, posters, banners) in the Tucson area.
- Support digital marketing efforts by creating localized content for social media, email campaigns, and the school website.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local schools, businesses, community centers, and music venues.
- Attend and represent School of Rock at community events, fairs, and concerts to build awareness and collect leads.
- Organize and promote local events, such as open houses, student showcases, and seasonal concerts.
- Track and report on local marketing initiatives and lead generation performance.
- Assist with CRM data entry and lead follow-up coordination when necessary.
- Assist in developing fun, engaging, and brand-aligned content that appeals to students and parents in the Tucson community.
- Provide local insight and ideas to enhance national marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning, or related field (music/education experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of the Tucson area and local community culture
- Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with people of all ages
- Passion for music and/or music education is a strong plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel
