About the role

  • Manager developing and executing training programs for Commercial Portfolio Management Team at SouthState. Focused on credit skills and portfolio management training for team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and execute SSB’s credit training within the Commercial Portfolio Management Team.
  • Key focus areas include credit development, SSB Commercial Credit Curriculum, PM Training Program, and high level Credit Training Support.
  • Develop training materials and case studies covering varying credit complexities.
  • Delivery of curriculum through workshops, self-study modules, case studies, and assessments.
  • Partner with vendors for credit training and provide ongoing career support to Commercial PMs.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree required (preferred: business or finance)
  • 15+ year experience in Commercial Credit Underwriting and/or Approval.
  • Underwriting Experience required, approval experience preferred.
  • 7+ years management/leadership experience required.
  • Completion of formal Credit Training Program preferred.
  • CRC (RMA) certification preferred
