About the role

  • Specialist lead for One You Stop Smoking programme in Westminster
  • Manage and line manage a small team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches
  • Motivate and inspire team to deliver high impact, high quality lifestyle and wellbeing services
  • Assist with direct delivery of health & wellbeing behavioural lifestyle interventions
  • Responsible for effective delivery of the programme to meet participant, company and commissioner needs
  • Promote the service to key stakeholders and referral partners
  • Lead responsibility for one or more service streams and service improvement
  • Spend approximately 50% of time directly delivering services (group based, 1-to-1 and where appropriate home visits)
  • Engage with external stakeholders and develop productive relationships
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and secure handling of confidential records

Requirements

  • An understanding of or interest in smoking cessation
  • Experience of managing a service/projects/stakeholder relationships/teams within a target orientated environment
  • Experience of promoting/marketing public services to stakeholder / referral partners
  • Demonstrative experience of developing productive external stakeholder relationships
  • High level of personal organisation and time management skills
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a health related subject (desirable)
  • Relevant qualification to the service stream specialism (e.g. NCSCT Certificates in Smoking Cessation Practitioner) (desirable)
  • Capability to work with MS Office packages and basic databases (desirable)
  • Experience of maintaining accurate and up to date records in paper and electronic systems, securely and confidentially (desirable)
  • Fluency in community languages (desirable) e.g. Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Guajarati, Polish, Serbian and Greek
  • Experience in using coaching skills and/or behavioural techniques to help individuals improve their health and/or physical fitness (desirable)
