Responsibilities
- Team leadership: You will take on the technical and disciplinary leadership of the accounting team and ensure efficient collaboration and ongoing development of team members.
- Financial accounting: You are responsible for proper bookkeeping in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) as well as the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns across multiple countries.
- Reporting: You will own the monthly reporting under US-GAAP for our parent company and ensure compliance with SOX controls.
- Cash management: You will manage liquidity planning and payment transactions.
- Payroll: You are responsible for organizing and processing the monthly payroll and payments in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Requirements
- You have a degree in business administration or a commercial apprenticeship, plus further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance-sheet accountant), and bring solid professional experience in international accounting standards, tax law, and financial accounting.
- You have prior experience as a team lead in an accounting environment or are looking to take the next step into a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of ERP systems (Infor is a plus), ideally with Key User experience in an ERP implementation project.
- You work independently, have the drive to get things done, and are solution- and results-oriented.
- You have business-fluent German and English skills.
