About the role
- M&A Analyst in Everfield focused on identifying and evaluating software acquisitions. Engage in sourcing, valuation, due diligence, and contribute to leading software companies.
Responsibilities
- Identify and connect with vertical software businesses across diverse sectors. Initiate and maintain outreach and communication with potential targets, their owners, and stakeholders
- Collect and analyse data from various sources to effectively assess potential targets (incl. proper management of all CRM processes)
- Prepare valuations (incl. full financial model) and conduct comprehensive analyses during the origination and due diligence processes
- Develop/revise marketing and transaction materials, as well as documentation for investment committee purposes
- Represent Everfield in meetings with CEOs and at trade shows/conferences, with frequent travel
- Demonstrate the capability and eagerness to manage the entire due diligence process in the future, gaining exposure to all aspects
- Ensure all company information, calls, outreach activity is consistently and with high-quality saved in the CRM
- (Appreciated) Start building strong relationships with CEOs, investment bankers, and industry veterans to facilitate connections with target companies
- (Appreciated) Lead and manage specific workstreams within the due diligence process
- (Appreciated) Enhance processes as the platform expands, continually refining the origination playbook as you gain experience as well
Requirements
- Ideally, at least 1 year of experience in software/tech-based transactions at an investment bank, private equity firm or corporate development
- Professional
- Familiar with steps of a transaction process, from sourcing, execution and closing
- Strong analytical, financial and summarizing skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Some experience in corporate finance, valuation, software valuations and specific metrics
- Strong academical background with a Masters degree from a business or engineering school with a specialisation in finance
- Written and spoken proficiency in French and English is a must, German or Spanish a plus
