Legal Counsel responsible for data privacy initiatives within an international Legal Team. Supporting projects and advising departments on compliance for a family - run healthcare company.
About the role
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments impacting Titan Wealth businesses
- Identify new regulations and perform impact analysis for the business
- Implement regulatory requirements in the context of regulatory change or business expansion initiatives
- Advise and liaise with Titan Wealth compliance colleagues on interpretation of regulations, cross-border scenarios and policy development
- Advise on wealth management client and product documentation
- Respond to ad hoc legal queries arising from the Titan Wealth businesses
- Liaise with outside counsel on domestic and cross-border jurisdictional issues
- Assess regulatory implications of new business initiatives and specific client situations
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in England and Wales
- A minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience in a UK financial services regulatory role in private practice and/or as in-house counsel
- Experienced in UK regulatory requirements including the FCA’s Consumer Duty
- Experienced in both legal and regulatory risks associated with a wealth management business
- Ability to articulate legal issues, risks, complex concepts and the commercial implications of a recommended course of action in a clear and concise manner
- Proactive, enthusiastic, resilient and able to work under pressure
- Experience advising on client and product documentation and liaising with outside counsel on cross-border issues
