About the role

  • Lead Product Designer developing elegant digital experiences for residential electrification. Managing design team while collaborating with product and engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

  • First Lead Product Designer to join early stage team
  • Manage a team of 3 designers
  • Report to Head of Product and Engineering
  • Own product management, UX, and UI
  • Collaborate with leadership team on product vision
  • Build early prototypes and initial releases
  • Support redesign of mobile app for homeowners
  • Oversee new web site and design tool for HVAC systems

Requirements

  • Exceptional taste for design
  • Comfortable working with sticky notes, whiteboard markers, Figma, and front-end code (HTML/CSS/JS)
  • Detail oriented systems thinker
  • Ability to meet users where they work
  • Eager to dive into residential electrification
  • Proven track record of building elegant digital experiences
  • Team player and leader
  • Experience with large scale consumer or B2B products (Nice to Haves)
  • Graphic design, illustration, and/or video production skills (Nice to Haves)
  • Relevant industry experience: residential construction, electrification, HVAC, CAD, Solar, or Energy (Nice to Haves)
  • Experience at an early-stage startup (Nice to Haves)
