Do exploratory/causal analysis of collected data to find correlations, trends, and transform them into methodologies.
Provide insights into planting and project effectiveness and create visualizations for the data.
Gather secondary data relevant for analysis and recommend integration into the data platform.
Suggest recommendations to improve field data collection and overall data quality based on analytical insights and investigations.
Define NBS performance indicators with support from the Central Data Team and share strategic and tactical recommendations.
Conduct planning and work sprints following Agile and Scrum methodologies; manage and prioritize Project Team requests in harmony with the Central Data Team.
Mentor and support the regional Data Team's career development; train on Data Analysis topics and act as a link between Central Data and the Asian Regional Project Team.
Communicate proactively with Data Team members in other regions to find common needs and synergies.
Provide occasional field training (rarely, 1-2x a year) to technicians and data collectors.
Ensure the data stack captures, stores, and processes field reality; build and release tools and dashboards for teams, Executive Committee, and external stakeholders to enable data-informed decisions.
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst / Data Scientist / Statistician position.
A minimum of 1 year managing fully remote teams.
Working knowledge of SQL and Python; experience with Jupyter Notebooks is a nice-to-have.
Working knowledge of Data Visualization (portfolio/repository encouraged).
Ability to break work into technical tasks to accomplish a user story or technical requirement; experience with Jira is a nice-to-have.
Capacity to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams, written and verbal.
Understanding of data governance and best practices.
Some experience in Sustainability or Impact, or strong interest in the area.
Fluent in English; proficiency in any other Asian language preferred.
Willingness to travel by plane for occasional visits; not suitable for candidates afraid of flying.
Knowledge of causal analysis is a differentiator (nice-to-have).
Experience with Digital Products is a nice-to-have.
