Lead Cloud Architect specializing in designing multi-cloud infrastructures for pharmaceutical distribution in healthcare. Focus on cloud migration, governance, and optimizing costs across Azure and GCP.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain cloud architecture strategy, including reference architectures, decision records, and design patterns for networking, hybrid connectivity, and core services (DNS/DHCP/IPAM)
Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP, including VPC models, interconnects, VPNs, service segmentation, and secure communication protocols
Lead cloud migration initiatives, transitioning on-premises systems to cloud platforms with minimal disruption, while aligning with business and technical requirements
Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance, security, and performance, particularly in regulated environments such as pharma and healthcare
Optimize cloud costs and performance by implementing guardrails, tagging strategies, and right-sizing interconnects and egress patterns, with strong FinOps awareness
Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Azure ARM Templates, and GCP Deployment Manager
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and provide strategic guidance on cloud technologies and industry trends
Requirements
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of cloud-native design principles and architectures
Proficiency in containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), serverless computing, microservices, and DevOps practices
Expertise in automation, scripting, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Azure ARM Templates, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager, combined with familiarity in CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native monitoring solutions
Author and maintain reference architectures, patterns, and decision records for cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and core network services (DNS/DHCP/IPAM)
Establish guardrails (landing zone/network baselines), tagging/cost attribution, and right-sizing of interconnects and egress patterns (FinOps awareness)
Knowledge of GxP compliance, data sovereignty, and operational resilience in pharma/healthcare contexts
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, identity management, and cloud security controls, combined with deep experience in WAN design, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, and cloud networking across platforms like Azure and GCP
Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification or equivalent. Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (AZ-303/304 or newer) or equivalent
