About the role
- Lead Associate overseeing Insurance Authorisations team at FCA, shaping regulatory decisions and developing talents within the team.
Responsibilities
- Offer technical and strategic stewardship to the associates in your sub-team
- Co-ordinate the development of clear case assessment strategies for agreement with senior management
- Manage sub-team’s execution of strategies on time and to the right level of assurance
- Utilize project management disciplines to ensure effective progress of transactions
- Escalate operational challenges and risks and develop resolution plans
- Develop talent and capability within your sub-team and department
- Deliver the Department workplan in support of the Government’s growth strategy
Requirements
- Minimum prior expertise in insurance business models
- Prior experience of successfully managing long-term projects concurrently
- Experience of directing engagement with senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Experience of managing people and operations
- Ability to assimilate and evaluate information to form judgments and mitigate potential risk
- Evidence of leading and supporting colleagues with technical issues and career development conversations
- Proactive approach to work with initiative in identifying potential issues
