About the role

  • Manage the full process from initial outreach, develop solid opportunities, launch Research Topics, engage contributors, and drive high-quality submissions
  • Grow and manage a dynamic sales pipeline, from editor engagement to publication
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with editors to attract contributions to research topics and publications
  • Participate in conferences to engage with researchers, build research topics/campaigns, and grow journal name recognition
  • Organize and present at workshops or webinars, establishing a community-driven journal
  • Manage tasks and processes related to journal and section growth, including recruiting new editors for the journal and its sections

Requirements

  • Sales or business development experience
  • Results-driven mindset
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Natural communicator, personable, and persuasive
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn about AI
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Passionate about Open Science
