About the role

  • Full Stack Cloud Software Engineer at Jungheinrich developing cloud-based solutions for intralogistics. Engaging in frontend and backend engineering with a focus on DevOps culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and operate cloud-based products, contributing to all layers: frontend, backend, and infrastructure (cloud)
  • Design and implement user-facing features using React and TypeScript
  • Build robust backend services with Java/Kotlin
  • Take ownership for the full software development lifecycle—from ideation, technical architecture, implementation, to deployment and operations
  • Embrace the DevOps mindset: ensure quality, reliability, security, and maintainability by monitoring your solutions in production, writing well-tested code, and continuously improving deployments (CI/CD)
  • Work collaboratively in agile, self-organized, and cross-functional teams, participating in code reviews, pair/mob programming, and technical analysis sessions
  • Support product scaling, performance, and high availability by leveraging cloud-native architectures (preferably AWS) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, CDK)
  • Participate in technical planning, prioritize tasks in alignment with business value, and keep the customer’s needs at the center of your work
  • Drive and embrace innovation—evaluate and integrate new technologies and best practices to improve our products and ways of working

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience building and operating modern web applications and cloud-based services—covering frontend, backend, and infrastructure aspects
  • Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript for frontend development
  • Hands-on experience with Java/Kotlin
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Solid understanding of software quality principles—clean code, testing (unit/integration), and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform, CDK) and familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
  • Strong grasp of performance, scalability, concurrency, and modern architectural paradigms (REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, domain-driven-design)
  • Comfortable working with either relational or NoSQL databases
  • Agile mindset with experience in Scrum or Kanban environments; thrives in collaborative, international, and self-organized teams
  • Excellent English skills in speech and writing (C1); German is a plus
  • Creative, solution-oriented, and eager to continuously learn and share knowledge with peers
