About the role

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of CR2’s BankWorld product.
- Design and implement new features, ensuring alignment with business requirements, technical specifications, security practices, and project timelines.
- Actively participate in agile scrum ceremonies, working closely with team members to achieve project goals and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to software design best practices, participate in design and code reviews, and proactively suggest improvements to processes and practices.
- Adhere to sound security engineering practices to protect the integrity and security of the product.
- Assist in maintaining and supporting both new and existing features by working with the support team to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and integrate new solutions to enhance the user experience and product functionality.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours support for critical product issues when required.
Requirements
- Honours Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in Java programming.
- Proficient in Java programming with strong object-oriented design and programming skills.
- Experienced in agile software development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in Git for source code management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
