About the role

  • Intermediate Project Manager (IPM) supports the successful delivery of large capital projects (> US$25M) by partnering with Project Managers across planning, engineering coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and controls.
  • Helps drive outcomes in safety, quality, scope, budget, schedule, risk, and reporting.
  • Prepares and delivers concise updates to the Capital Leadership Team and Project Steering Committee (status, risks, mitigations, and forecasts).

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, chemical) or Construction/Project Management (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:5–8 years of experience delivering industrial capital projects in heavy industry (aluminum/metals, mining/minerals, pulp & paper, chemicals, energy, or similar), including direct site exposure.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated capability in project coordination across FEL planning, baseline management, and execution support.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of project controls (cost/schedule, forecasting, EVM), risk/change management, and contract administration.
  • Tools: Proficient with Primavera P6 or MS Project, and familiar with cost systems/ERPs and document control workflows.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel and work extended periods on site; eligibility for cross-border (US/Canada) travel as required.
  • Language: Bilingual English/French an asset (may be required for Quebec-based work).
